LUPIA
The shield on the left bears the historic arms of Daniel's family which originated in 1536 when Emperor Charles V gave Daniel's ancestor, Luca Giovanni Lupia the title Nobilis et egregii vir. It is presumed that the wolf is a play on the likely latin origin of the Lupia name, as Lupo, in Latin, means wolf. This crest is further supported by a stag. The stag has long been a symbol of the McCarthy family in Ireland. Daniel's great grandmother, Margaret Mary McCarthy, was herself the great-granddaughter of Markham McCarthy, one of the last Chiefs of Tuanadrom, and here we pay tribute to that family's illustrious heritage.
MILLER - MÜLLER
On the right, the Miller family crest was inspired by the crest of the town of Bödigheim, Germany where the Müller family lived for generations prior to immigrating to North America in 1749. The shield also features a Mill Wheel often found on other crests attributed to Müller families in the region of Baden. The crest of Bödigheim is based on the arms of the family Rüd von Collenberg zu Bödigheim, feudal lords of the town, with whom the Müller family ancestors had close association. The crest was accepted by the New England Historical and Genealogical Society Committee on Heraldry for descendants of Clayton Abraham Miller (Kyle's 2nd Great-Grandfather)

THE CEREMONY
St. Paul's United Church of Christ
626 Williams Grove Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055
St. Paul's is the church where Kyle was baptized and confirmed. The church can trace its history to the German Reformed faith and the founding of Peace Church erected 1798. near Camp Hill. In 1863 a new location for the congregation of St. Paul's was established at corner of Frederick & Locust Streets in Mechanicsburg (two blocks from where Daniel & Kyle currently live). In 1975 the Congregation moved to its present location.

THE RECEPTION
The Willows at Ashcombe Mansion
